Archbishop of Port-au-Prince killed in Haiti quake

Missionaries at the archdiocese found the body of Archbishop Joseph Serge Miot crushed by rubble in his office, according to a priest at the Saint Jacques Missionary Center in France. Miot was 63.
A seminary student was killed and two others were injured in the quake, according to the mission.
The Saint Jacques order was founded by a Haitian bishop and retains a strong presence in Haiti.
Miot founded an association to help poor families in Port-au-Prince. He also denounced the imprisonment of a priest who fought for human rights and against corruption.
