CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla. (AP) _ Christian singer Brandon Heath’s Dove Award song of the year has reached a new high, thanks to the pilot of the space shuttle Endeavour. NASA played “Give Me Your Eyes” for the astronauts’ first wake-up call in honor of Terry Virts, who is on his first space mission.
Virts is a fan of Brandon Heath, and invited the Christian singer and his family to the Kennedy Space Center to watch Monday morning’s launch. Virts told Mission Control that as “Give Me Your Eyes” was being played, his eyes were on “the beautiful Earth below.”
