The producers of C.S. Lewis’s The Voyage of the Dawn Treader and Samaritan’s Purse have joined together to get Christmas gifts into the hands of over 8 million children worldwide.

In The Chronicles of Narnia series, the world of Narnia is described as a place where it Is “Winter, but never Christmas” before Aslan the Lion redeems it. Actress Georgie Henley plays Lucy Pensive in the series, and says goal of Operation Narnia is to give a gift to millions of children who would otherwise never receive a gift at Christmastime:

Since 1993, Samaritan’s Purse’s Operation Christmas Child has send out over 69 million shoe boxes to children in over 130 million countries. The Voyage of the Dawn Treader is the third movie in the Chronicles of Narnia series. It premieres on December 10^th. Learn more at OperationNarnia.org.
